世界中のサーキットを舞台に年間8戦を戦うFIA世界耐久選手権（WEC)。今年は、トップカテゴリー「LMP1」クラスにポルシェが16年振りの復帰を果たしたことで、話題を呼んでいる。
第5回戦の舞台は日本。10月、富士スピードウェイで6時間耐久レースが開催される。
