The aforementioned Domaine Clarendre Dillon is home not only to Château Haut-Brion, but also to Château La Mission Haut-Brion, which is considered the clear sixth chateau after the five great chateaus. Clarendre was created with the aim of creating a “Bordeaux that can be easily enjoyed” while inheriting the pedigree of that special class chateau.
The proof of its prestige is everywhere.
Long-term partnerships with local winemakers ensure that quality wines are carefully selected from all over Bordeaux. The wines are full-flavored with a variety of characteristics that form the basis for complex blends.
These wines are blended by Nathalie Basso Dworkin with the support of an elite team at Domaine Clarence Dillon. There is no one-size-fits-all recipe, but rather a meticulous blending process based on the motto of “balance, elegance, and complexity. The wines are then aged and released only when they are ready to drink. In our quest for an easy Bordeaux, the bottles that appear in our retail stores are intended to be enjoyed immediately.
From the vineyards of Bordeaux to the glass in our hands, uncompromising production methods and quality control are thoroughly implemented.
The resulting Clarendre embodies “savoir-faire” and “art de vivre,” a delicate balance between tradition and contemporary expression.
